Technical & Innovation Manager

Job Function:

Job Purpose:
  • Management of technical, quality and innovation team
  • Customer/ supplier liaison in respect of technical, quality and innovation matters
  • Maintaining relevant industry standards
  • Effective participation in the site Senior Management Team
Reports to:
  • General Manager
Key Responsibilities:
  • To ensure the site based team provide effective support to the manufacturing operation in respect of policing quality systems.
  • Ensuring appropriate technical evaluation of products is completed in order to ensure customer requirements are met in full.
  • Completing analytical tasks in order to accurately measure performance against standard and KPI’s
  • Full maintenance of ISO9001
  • Completion of customer technical specifications and data requests
  • Provide effective management of innovation needs of the customer base, inclusive of “Blue Sky Thinking”. This should be from concept to full commercialising the product.
  • Participate in cross sector as well as customer/supplier led innovation forums
  • Active participation in developing “Green Packaging” solutions
  • Pro-active input into innovation matters across the region and the sector
  • Providing comprehensive management report and analysis when required.
  • Face to face liaison with customers/suppliers on both a pro-active and reactive basis.
  • Demonstrate a full understanding of the business needs with full and comprehensive input at all levels
